new hampshah :)

that's how they talk here...
new hampshah.  bahstahn.  wicked.
and it makes me smile everytime I hear the accent...it's just cool. :)  I asked the public transportation lady to just keep talking cuz' I liked the way she talked.  yeah, it's just cool. :)

we've been staying with my sister-in-law and her husband...totally gracious, hospitable + fun people...even with dawn being nine months pregnant (pic's to come!).  she is nothing like me...I was a total crabby patty when I was that pregnant.  no scatch that...when I was pregnant period. :)
dawn being the ever organized person that she is suggested we make a "to-do" list while we are here on vacation...
sledding...check.
snowball fight...check.
hiking...check.
see chuck + kathie's new property...check.
dunkin donuts...check.  :)
snowmobiling...gonna be a check soon.
see a moose...probably not gonna happen. another time...it's a goal of mine now. :)
see the atlantic ocean...oh, yes...check!

here's a few snapshots of our adventures so far...people pic's to come! :)

I finally got the squirrel on camera...reminds me a little bit too much of me on vacation...eating entirely too much and too much stuff that I probably shouldn't be eating :)

the next two are of matt's parents new property they are going to build on...simply AHmazing!  we hiked it for about an hour...it has beautiful trees, a wicked cool creek running through it and grass lands...I can't wait to come back and visit it! :)

we drove up to the coast and tried to get out.  I say tried b/c it was eighteen degrees with about thirty five mile per hour freaking cold winds.  yes, the weather man said FREAKING cold.  so I got out for about five minutes and had to get back in the car.  I am ashamed to say I am a weiny weinerson.  but it still is gorgeous.  I wondered though, how the seagulls can just stay out and fly around and not drop like giant ice cubes into the atlantic?  do they not get cold?  hmmm...I wonder.

merry christmas!

merry christmas!  kinda late, I guess...but people are still saying it...so maybe they say it until the end of december?

I am currently in northwood, nh on vacation with my family and simply l.o.v.i.n.g. it!  we spent christmas night and the day after in the AMAZING city of boston...seriously one of my most favorite cities so far in my life and can't wait to come back again!  we spent the night in cambridge, rode the "t" all day (seriously genious invention and way easier than driving), ice skated at frog pond in boston commons and then ate amazing food and shopped at quincy market...and now we have moved on to new hampshire to visit with matt's family for the rest of the week...

for me, during this stage of life this thing called rest is typically fleeting...so being with family and being outside of any kind of cellular/internet service is a strange and enjoyable way to spend a week of vacation!

here's a few of my favorite pictures so far!

santa's littlest elf :)

Sunday, December 20, 2009

one of my last shoots before the new year and it still makes me smile when I look at these pictures.

first off, his name is jack.  I LOVE the name jack for a boy.  jack and jill.  jack from hook.  jack sparrow. :) jumping jacks.  jacks the game.  it's just a happy name...a perfect fit for this busy little boy!

this shoot was for his mom who has been stuck in the hospital with complications awaiting the soon to be arrival in february of her newest little boy...so her husband was so thoughtful to gift these pictures to her for Christmas...as a mom, I could not think of a more perfect gift in not being able to see her little man everyday.  needless to say I wanted to make sure I got all the "faces" of her cute little man.  and what a cute little man he is...I simply adore his b.l.u.e. eyes!  his little ears are the thing that make me smile though...when jon put the santa hat on, he looked exactly like a little elf!  super cute! :)

thanks for an amazing shoot jack + jon!

I simply never get tired of taking pictures of these kids!  All four of them are absolutely unique and I love watching them grow up this way!  If you haven't already checked out what their mom's etsy shop http://www.lillyatthewell.com/ then you're missing out...check out the adorable ring that Lisa (her shop) gave me!  Love it and love them! :)  Thanks for another amazing shoot Maccallum's!

what beautiful, beautiful people are these?  I got to spend a very rainy afternoon with this family...and loved every minute of it!  baby stephen (the 5th!) stole my heart and I could not stop smiling at him...he just was SO happy.  his little face simply lit up when his loved ones smiled at him or got his attention...absolutely adorable!  and why wouldn't these people get his attention...such a beautiful, fun-loving family!  it amused me a lot to see the brother's and sisters "flick" each other throughout the shoot and even through the all-day rainy day that forced us indoors...there was still sunshine to be had!  such beautiful smiles on all of them!  thanks for such a fun afternoon, Kovach's! :)
