my little brother is ENGAGED!

so I'm not sure if I'm the creepy sister-in-law/sister for getting these shots of the ACTUAL event...but it should be noted that josh asked me to...so I'm not that creepy :)

I SO love my "little" brother and am SO exited and proud of him and for this next season of life....lins, you are TOO cool of a girl for my brother...he is SO lucky to have you in his life! and josh...you did great and have an AMAZING story to tell for years to come on how you asked lindsey to marry you in the place where dreams are made...super COOL!

God makes beautiful things. on our trip in CA we got to visit my grandpa + grandma...they are truly blessed by God to be so fortunate to live in whittier, CA in a 50 year old california ranch home built on a beautiful hillside...they have I think over an acre of beautiful, lush valley yard filled with all of these sorts of flowers...






geranium's will always and forever remind me of my mom...growing up she had these everywhere in the spring/summer...and they still make me smile when I think of her :)


mexican bird of paradise...crazy flower that looks like a colorful bird...we have these in AZ too, but they seem more vibrant in CA...

my absolute favorite color and their backyard was full of it!

huntington beach

I'm still on vacation in CA but wanted to put up a few photo's from our trip so far...these were taken on Huntington Beach...super amazing trip so far!

my kids LOVED looking for seashells and racing the freezing waves in and out of the shore...micah, I swear is cold-blooded...it was FREEZING but he still loved it for a good hour!

I so LOVE arizona weather this week...not too hot, not too cold. And I got to be in it alot with the marinello's...melissa is due in june and looks absolutely cute pregnant, the type of person who should have a lot of babies because she just looks beautiful being pregnant - so not the way I looked when I was pregnant :)...her daughter sydney has the most amazing eyes with so many of her daddy's dark features and even though she wasn't super big on smiling a ton, she had some tender moments with her daddy...and the balloons :) I was SO thankful I brought balloon's, she LOVED them and wanted them everywhere with us...super cute family - thank you for letting me capture these!
